Youth Ministry Goals

goalsFrom the time that a student enters the youth group to the time a student graduates out, there are some things that they should know. These can be called the “basics.” The basics that the students should know are
to have an understanding of the Bible as a whole, to learn how to study the Scriptures on their own, and worshipping and evangelizing should be a part of their everyday lives. My goal for the youth at Cherry Avenue Christian Church is to learn and achieve these three things.

Knowledge of the Bible is important because it teaches Christians how to have a relationship with Christ and teaches us the truth. Learning how to study the scriptures on their own will be useful for their whole lives, not just why they are here in youth group. Worshipping and evangelizing should be a part of our everyday lives as Christians. If the students learn the importance of this and how to live it out at a young age, it will stick in their lives longer than just youth group time. Having a concept of what truth is and their values and beliefs is important for students going to college, or even just going straight to work. If they do not know what they believe in and are firm in what they believe, they can be easily swayed once they leave home. The youth at Cherry Avenue should support and serve each other while striving for purity and truth.
